A Moment of Your Time, Dear Discourser

Hello, fellow discoursers.

Now that we’ve got seven podcasts underneath our belt, I thought it’s about time for a blog post. “What kind of blog post?”, you ask naively. Do I look like I know everything? Geez, I just work here. Stop putting expectations on me, oppressor. Let’s explore a few things that have been on mind as of late.

The podcast is progressing into something I enjoy. Though, the most important part for me right now is consistency – every other Monday, like a cuckoo clock. There have been a few bumps along the way. Technical difficulties made me almost rage quit in the beginning. A few people have cancelled, leaving me without a guest. Luckily, I hounded other people enough that they agreed to be on. To those who cancelled: I will find you. You will be discoursed, discoursed as fuck.

Now that I’ve got the threats out of the way, let’s move onto the purpose of this whole deal. The project is not just about a podcast, or simply about published media. In my mind, Project Discoursers was created to foster honest and direct communication between people of all races, sexes, gender, species, Liars-Briggs, and those other template people that believe that the position of the stars has something to do with their inability to be responsible regarding money. Yes, even those mutants.

Honest and direct discourse is a means, not an end. There is no end to what we can learn from each other. This is going to be a wild journey where great feats await the adventurers, and great rewards will bloom from attempting to heal the gaps of miscommunication that drive us batshit crazy on a daily basis.

So, let us know what you think of the episodes so far. We have no intention of slowing down anytime soon. Besides, the momentum is too strong – the force of slowing down or going off track would rip us into atoms. And you wouldn’t want that, would you? Would you?

Lastly, I would like to thank the following people for being on such an unorganized podcast run by a complete rookie in the arena. I love your faces, but mostly your voices. Thanks. (In no particular order)

  • Chandler Johnson
  • Roman Baker
  • Gabrielle Fisher
  • Leah Salcedo
  • Dustin Richardson
  • Derrick Montgomery

Go fuck yourself,

Joey
